Supporting the Therapeutic Process
Exploring beyond the conscious mind can be a valuable therapeutic support.
My work is non-clinical and is not a replacement for psychotherapy or other mental health treatment. Instead, it can offer a complementary space for clients who are interested in exploring themselves beyond what they can access through conscious understanding alone.
Therapy provides invaluable opportunities to understand our experiences, recognize patterns, process difficult emotions, develop new ways of relating, and support mental health. And sometimes a client can have tremendous insight into why they feel or behave a certain way while still sensing that something hasn't fully shifted.
My work approaches that space through a different lens. Depending on the individual, we may explore the body, subconscious mind, energy, intuition, spiritual experience, or the places where intellectual understanding has not yet become something they can fully feel, trust, or embody.
I regularly collaborate with licensed therapists and work with clients both independently and alongside ongoing therapy. I value the distinct role of clinical care and do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. When deeper psychological concerns arise, I encourage clients to bring those experiences into their work with an appropriate licensed provider.
At its best, I see this work as another point of access to the same person—one that can exist alongside therapy while honoring the scope, purpose, and boundaries of each.
The intention isn't to replace the therapeutic process, but to create space for more of the whole person within it.
When This Work May Be Helpful For Your Clients
This work may be especially supportive for clients who:
-
Have developed significant insight through therapy but feel ready to explore beyond intellectual understanding
-
Feel disconnected from their body, intuition, identity, or sense of self
-
Are navigating a transition, loss, relationship, decision, or period of personal growth
-
Notice recurring patterns they understand cognitively but have difficulty shifting experientially
-
Are curious about subconscious, energetic, embodied, intuitive, or spiritual exploration
-
Want to deepen self-trust, self-compassion, agency, and connection with themselves
-
Are psychologically stable and interested in personal exploration beyond the treatment of a mental health condition
Clients do not need to share my spiritual beliefs to benefit from working with me.

Scope and Boundaries
I do not provide psychotherapy, diagnose mental health conditions, or present intuitive or energetic impressions as clinical conclusions.
I also recognize that spiritual, subconscious, and embodied exploration can sometimes bring forward material that belongs within the therapeutic process.
When that happens, I encourage clients to explore those experiences with an appropriate licensed provider.
When a client is simultaneously working with a therapist, I respect that therapeutic relationship and the distinct roles each of us holds.
My work isn't intended to compete with clinical care but to support it.
Intuition and Client Agency
One of the most important principles in my work is that intuitive information should never replace a client's own discernment.
I may sense a fear beneath a decision, recognize a pattern that hasn't been consciously identified, or experience intuitive or spiritual information that feels relevant. I offer these impressions as invitations for exploration—not as unquestionable truths or instructions about what someone should do.
My intention is to help clients hear themselves more clearly, recognize what may be influencing them, and develop greater trust in their own ability to choose.
Ideally, my intuition helps clients become less dependent on outside answers—not more.

Explaining What I Do
I welcome referrals from therapists and other helping professionals and am comfortable working alongside ongoing psychotherapy. You do not need to determine which modality a client needs before connecting them with me- clients can contact me directly, and we can begin with what they are experiencing, what they hope to explore, and what feels most supportive from there.
When communication between providers would be helpful, the therapist can provide the client with a Release of Information (ROI) authorizing communication with me. Once an appropriate ROI is in place, I am happy to communicate with the client's therapist when doing so supports the client's work.
If it is helpful, you might describe my work to a client this way:
"Andrea offers non-clinical intuitive work that can complement therapy. She works with the body, subconscious mind, energy, intuition, and spiritual experience depending on what you're interested in exploring. Some people find it helpful to approach some of what you are experiencing from a different direction."
Please reach out directly with any questions you may have, to collaborate, or just to connect. Thank you for doing the valuable work that you do.
